When heading into the deep woods or lake country in the 'Daks, even a seasoned woodsman can use a guide. There are guides for every type of activities: big & small game hunting, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, photo, xc skiing, snowshoeing, bird watching, backpacking, etc. All guides in New York State are licensed after a stringent exam and requirements administered by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. They are trained in first aid and survival skills and are a real plus for a party of Adirondack novice woodspeople.
